This is the all-new 16×4 LCD is an alphanumeric display that is based on the display controller, and is compatible to interface with most microcontrollers. It works on 5V and has a Green Backlight which can be switched on and off as desired. The contrast of the screen can also be controlled by varying the voltage at the contrast control pin(Pin 3).

LCD5802D 7″ LCD Screen Receiver Monitor with DVR

There is a lot to like about this unit. If your going to have an LCD like this you have to have diversity. The ability to utilize those two receivers when using your goggles is great. The built in lipo is also very handy and I really like that I can plug in an external lipo if needed. With a battery life of around 3 hours it lasted as long as I personally needed it and then some. The micro SD slot is accessible and visible, so it’s easy to get in and out and know you have one in there. I also really like the hard plastic hood. The speakers are also great if wearing headphones bothers you. Finally, the most important thing for me is the DVR. It’s super simple to turn on and off.
The only issue I had was the screen would not turn off for me at one point. If this happens to you be aware that there is a reset button on the left side of the unit near the AV out port. It is the type you need to press in with a needle or toothpick.
Other than that I had no issues with this unit. It is now my number one LCD/DVR unit that will use to record FPV videos with.
